Privacy

TREE Studio does not collect or store children's names, photos or information.

What we collect

When you join, Stripe collects your name, email, billing address and payment details to process your membership. We receive your name, email and your membership status.

Your sign in is kept by Supabase, the service we use for accounts. It holds your email and your password, stored in a form no one can read, including us.

When you sign in, we set one small cookie that keeps you signed in. It holds your email and your membership status, and nothing else.

We never see or store your full card number.

What stays with you

Plans, team inquiries and portfolios, photos included, are kept only in your own browser on your own device. They never reach our server. Download a backup now and then, since clearing your browser removes them.

The writing helper

When you ask the writing helper, story builder or team inquiry helper for a suggestion, the text you send goes to Anthropic, the company whose AI writes the reply, for that one reply. We do not store or log it. We keep only a count of how many requests each member makes in a month, so we can hold to the monthly limit. Use initials for children. The page and our server both check for anything that looks like a full name.

Workshop passes

A workshop guest enters only a code. If a guest answers the workshop survey, the answers go to the presenter without a name or email. The name on a certificate is typed on the page and is not sent to us.

How we use it

We use your email to sign you in, send receipts and renewal reminders, and answer your questions. We do not sell or share your information. We send updates only if you ask for them.

The email list

If you sign up for the monthly email, we keep your email address, where you signed up and the date. We use it only to send that email. Every email has a link to stop them, and you can also reply or write to us. We do not sell or share the list.

Visits

We count how many times each page is visited. We do not use cookies for this, and we do not keep your address or anything that identifies you.

We do not show ads.

Links to Bookshop.org

When you follow a book link to Bookshop.org, that site may use cookies so a purchase can be credited to us. Their privacy policy applies there.

Your choices

You may ask to see or delete the information we hold about you by emailing us.
